Manchester City Centre Office

Stephanie Wilde Interior Design had the pleasure of working on this historic warehouse conversion in the heart of Manchester’s trendy Northern Quarter. With a brief to add an eclectic blend of urban charm, we soon turned this simple space into a place in-keeping with its area. A bold statement look with the versatility to be used by a variety of professionals.

The Client

Silverchip – an award-winning software and app development company based in the heart of Manchester city centre.

Background

After securing a number of high-profile client wins, we doubled our headcount and quickly became too big for our previous office and needed a new space that truly reflected us as a business.

Brief

With our hybrid approach between in-office and working from home split, our goal was to create a social-focused space to drive collaboration and productivity for our teams. I had worked with Stephanie at my previous job so was familiar with her work.

We had certain requirements such as a bar, creating a new hidden office for our founders and a wall feature with a backdrop for photos. As a people focused business, we have regular social events and get-togethers and needed a space which could work as an office but also as a fun social space. We had tight timescales as we were approaching the end of our lease and needed the space competed as soon as possible.

One of the essential requirements was fitting a bar. The office we were moving into had artwork from a well-known local artist, Dave Draws. It was essential that we kept the artwork visible behind the bar and had the opposite facing wall as the feature wall. We needed a design to tie both pieces together.

Process

We had regular meetings with Stephanie which were geared towards planning and to ensure she captured our needs. From there we moved to designs, layouts and meet with the contractors that were recommended by Stephanie.

Throughout the process, Stephanie listened to our needs and carefully crafted a design that truly reflected Silverchip. Each room had been well-thought out, from the layout to the furniture and accessory selection.

Stephanie ensured we were involved throughout each stage; she is excellent at what she does and a pleasure to deal with. Communication was clear and consistent throughout. We were satisfied with the management of the project, Stephanie was attentive, quick to respond and was extremely approachable, quickly finding alternative solutions to anything we were unsure of.

Solution

The concepts and execution of her designs were exceptional. Stephanie ticked every box to create a space that truly reflected who we are. She brought modern, sleek looks to our office that are aesthetically pleasing.

The bar has been a huge success, we were able to keep the Dave Draws design and build the bar around the well-known piece. Stephanie suggested commissioning another local artist to design a bespoke wall mural which consisted of our brand colours and logo which looks incredible.

Results

The office has been huge success. We now have staff coming into the office on the days they are not required because of the space Stephanie has created. She has helped us create a space that will help us attract and retain the best talent from a competitive digital sector.

Each of our clients who have visited the space in the short time we have been here have complimented us on our office. With our new bar, we have regular socials with our team and even host our own industry events.

If you’re looking for an interior designer who will go above and beyond to deliver your vision, we would certainly recommend Stephanie Wilde Interior Design.
